How to Get an Afternoon Energy Boost

Being mom to an infant I know as well as anyone how important a mid-afternoon pick me up is. It’s not a luxury, it’s a necessity.

In the past I’ve always relied on constant movement or the occasional soda or sweet tea to keep me moving.  I’ve tried energy drinks in the past and they’ve either made me jittery or had a disgusting overly sweet/fluoride taste.

This week I tried Starbucks Refreshers and they’ve completely changed my opinion of energy drinks.  I’ve seen these at the local grocery store for months now but kept passing them over thinking they’d taste just like all the others.  I should have known that something from Starbucks would far outpace my expectations and really deliver in quality and taste.

Starbucks Refreshers come in three flavors – Raspberry Pomegranate, Orange Melon, and Strawberry Lemonade – and there’s no nasty aftertaste or fluoride flavoring in sight.  My hands down favorite is the Raspberry Pomegranate which was a perfectly sweetened, sparkling, and delicious taste with extra pep for my afternoon.  And almost as good as the delicious flavor is that these green coffee beverages have 50mg of caffeine and only 60 calories!

How do you avoid crashing in the afternoon?

Each beverage is a sparkling, delicious boost of natural energy from Green Coffee Extract you can enjoy anytime. With real fruit juice, B vitamins, ginseng, antioxidants from vitamin C and only 60 calories per can, it’s a pick-me-up you can feel good about.

  1. Starbucks anything is awesome in my book! For my afternoon pick-me-up it’s usually coffee, occasionally an energy drink, or sometimes just rehydrating with a cup of tea and a snack.

  2. I’ve been hearing about the refreshers and this post is what will now have me going to the Starbucks a block form house and trying one. Yay me! :)

  3. Oh how I miss caffeine as an afternoon energy boost! I especially miss Starbucks coffee! I gave up all caffeine due to a sensitivity. I’ll tell my husband about this, though, because he loves energy drinks.
