One thing that’s always within arms reach is my iPhone.  I use my iPhone for everything from the obvious phone calls and texting, to emails, calendars, and apps.  Lots of apps.  If an app can help keep me more organized, make my life easier, and save me time so I can spend more of it with my kids, then I will install it.  Especially when it’s free.

Like most moms, there’s never enough hours in the day or money in the bank.  With the Walgreens app and the upcoming launch of the new Balance Rewards card, you can have more time and money.  Save time by using the app to make purchases on the go and have more money in the bank by taking advantage of the Balance Rewards loyalty card.  Each dollar you spend will go towards rewards to be used on future purchases.

On Tuesday I signed up for the Balance Rewards card and then downloaded and installed the app to try out everything works.  I was pleasantly surprised to notice how feature rich the app was.  You can locate the nearest stores and view the weekly ads from right inside the app.  There’s never an excuse to forget to refill a family member’s prescription in time, order photo prints, or forget a necessary product when the app puts everything at your fingertips.

I had a shopping list started in another app on my phone and went to work purchasing everything on it quite quickly.  You can search for the exact product you’re looking for or use the category listings to narrow down and see all available products.  Using the category feature I was able to search for a new diaper cream and find the product that other Walgreens users rated the most highly.  (To see my full experience using the Walgreens app, visit my Google+ Album.)

Placing an order from the Walgreens app was quick and easy.  Plus when you spend $25 or more, standard shipping is free!  I wanted to take advantage of the free shipping but was also a little nervous about placing my order using the standard option as I was running low on several items.  There was no need to worry, I placed my order on Tuesday afternoon and received it via UPS on Thursday afternoon.  Fast, free shipping will definitely encourage me to keep using this app again.
