I love to name things! And by name things I mean babies and dogs. I love looking at what celebrities are naming their kids and the Social Security Administrator’s top names list every year. So it really cracked me up while shopping to come upon this display.
I guess only in Texas is Bubba such a popular name. And after a quick look at the top 1000 names on the Social Security Administration’s list and the top 100 baby names for Texas, I still can’t find Bubba among them. And yet it the only name on the rack that’s sold out. Now I know that Bubba is most likely just a nickname but seriously, I’ve never met someone that goes around advertising Bubba as their nickname. I forgot to check if Sissy was out of stock too.
Seeing that Bubba is such a popular name, tell me have you ever met a person named Bubba?

We have a radio personality (not on the country station) named Bubba the love sponge – Yes he changed his name to that. What frustrates me about the name things is I can never find my name or my sons name….makes me mad!
I call my dog Bubba all the time. A human? Not in recent memory but then I live in the NW, it wouldn’t even be a choice up here

I swear to you that I have that exact name plate sitting on my table right now!! LMAO!! My SIL has called my husband Bubba since she was little and our niece just came to visit us last weekend and brought him the name plate from her. So Funny!! Anytime she sees something that says Bubba on it she gets it for him. Maybe that’s why it’s sold out.
My daughter (4 yrs.) is now calling my son (3 mos.) Bubba. I guess the Bubba torch is being passed.
