Cakes celebrated her 4th birthday right before Christmas and wanted to do a Cars themed cake this year. She loves all of the Pixar movies and thankfully she chose requested a cake that wasn’t too far out of my comfort zone as far as cake decorating is concerned. Here’s the final product after a 2 hour road trip to my parent’s house for the party.

That is too cute. You did a great job. My favorite birthday cake I ever made was for my Granddaughter. I took three 9 x 13 cakes and laid them side by side on a huge piece of foil covered cardboard. Iced all three to look like one big cake. Then I put pink hearts made out of white chocolate with pink coloring (molded in candy molds) all around the sides. Then I spelled out her name in the pink hearts across the top of all of the cakes. It was pretty neat.
The cake came out AWESOME!!! She must have loved it – and kudos to you for making it yourself. I always buy the cake for my boys birthday party (they are both August babies, so I do a joint cake and party) because I can’t bake to save my life. I swear, every time I try to bake something, it gets ruined in one way or another.
Such a cute cake! My favorite was a bunny cake my mother made for me. It had coconut all over it. My birthday is in March, so I think it was in conjunction with Easter. Great memory!
Cute! You did a good job. My most memorable was a Duck Tales cake with Huey, Dewey, and Louie on it.

I love it! I never really had creative birthday cakes growing up, but thought they were so neat. I want to get these for my boys so they feel like they have cool cakes!
