As far as movies go, until recently Cakes has been a big tomboy and hasn’t given much thought to princesses. Even now as evidenced by her Cars birthday cake she would prefer a Pixar movie to princesses. I was a tomboy growing up and there’s definitely nothing wrong with this. I don’t want to change the things that she’s interested in and accept that she likes the things she likes. But I do want to introduce her to other things as well so she can play with both girls and boys easily. Her birthday and Christmas gifts have definitely helped her warm to the idea. Just look at the excitement and happiness while modeling her costumes at my parent’s house on Christmas morning!
And why yes, those are pirate tattoos on her shins! See, I haven’t crushed her spirit!
